Client Unlinked card to avoid cancellation fee

So i have a nail salon and square offers the option to maintain books full that a 100 percent fee is charged for no shows and 50 percent for late cancellations . 
all my clients are aware of this as once they book it’s sent via email and it’s also mention somewhere in their confirmation text and email. 


Today!! 

i had a client who cancel last minute and she unlinked her card before i could charge the cancellation fee. 

their should be an option that once they cancel and it’s passed the period square automatically charges . 

this is so inconvenient for business .

I can agree how frustrating that is, I've had this happen a time or two and nothing upsets me more than a last minute cancel or no show.

 

Are these services fixed prices?  If so you could add add the "require prepayment" option under payments and cancellations.
