I'm new to square and I don't want to link it to my bank account can I just get the debit/credit card from square and just have the money I get directly deposit to that without an account

Good news, yes you can have a Square Card without a linked bank account.  Check out this site to see Square's policy - scroll down to the Link Your Square Card to Your Bank Account section for the specifics.  Square's overll site with everything there is to know about the Square Card program is here.
