I am setting up the online store for my specialty bakery for the first time to use during the virus. We are offering delivery to customers within a 15 mile radius of our retail shop however we dont want our customers to be able to select a delivery time. What we'd like to do is, once we get an order in and check our schedule for our other deliveries, send an email to the customer telling them when we'll be delivering their items. Is this possible?
You can update your biz hours under the Pickup & Delivery section of the Online Store Editor. Also, you can put a blurb in the confirmation email or in the item notes section about a more specific delivery if you want to more customization.
