We're a restaurant-turned-retailer (thanks, pandemic!) focused on natural wine and craft beer. We recently launched California shipping (and went through all the proper compliance steps with UPS), but painstakingly found out that printing a label (that includes adult signature, 21+) is not possible through Square. It's cost us thousands in "prohibited item" fees via UPS, who I'm up in arms with, but am also disappointed that this seemingly vital feature doesn't seem to exist. Is this being worked on? Part of the reason I switched to square was to seamlessly integrate all of these moving pieces, and it just doesn't seem to work. Instead, I have to either go to UPS directly and manually enter the info, or integrate with Shippo, but it's still resulting in lost time, money and functionality. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience. It's not currently possible to make a label for alcohol shipments through your store, but I believe it is something that is being discussed. I believe we are also working on making the cvs export easier to work with which would benefit third party label creation in general.
I don't have a way to provide an eta, but will do my best to update this thread if I hear of any news or progress.
