Is there a way refunds can be reflected to show what items were refunded as opposed to just showing the total amount of money refunded in a day? Right now we have to go back every day throught the transaction list to find out what category/item was refunded and for which amount, which is a total pain in the ass,
Hey @SportwayofBrown, thanks for surfacing this and sorry for the frustration.
To be sure that I'm on the same page, can you reply with a bit more information on why you need to review which items were refunded? You can add a the "Items Returned" column to the Item Sales report (click the plus sign on the menu bar to see options), which will then let you see the number of items returned for any given period of time.
Hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to reply with any other insight that I can share with our Point of Sale team.
We are having the same problem. The refund amount is not deducted from the item totals.
Does this also mean, if the item is taxable that the tax is also incorrect?
Tom's post above tells you how to deduct refunds from the Item Sales Total.
As for taxes, our system will automatically correct the tax for you when a refund is issued. For more details, click the item with the Item Sales report to see a breakdown of that item's sales activity including taxes.
