I am wondering if you're considering a feature where customers can respond to confirmation text or email with confirm or cancel or reschedule.

First yes you can allow customers to cancel or reschedule appointments. To enable this - head to the Settings section of your Appointments Dashboard:

With these settings your customers will be able to cancel or reschedule their appointment from the confirmation notification (SMS/email) or from their reminder notification. Here's what it looks like from the confirmation email:

And finally we're tracking the request to allow customers to confirm their appointments - if you'd like to follow that thread (sign in) and click Subscribe in the upper right!
