We are a small retail store with POS app on iPad. Pretty basic, simple setup.
Can a single line item be removed before a sale is finalized? We had the situation the other day with a customer who decided she didn't want one thing she had brought up but it had already been scanned in.
If we have to finalize the sale then refund a line item, how does that affect a credit card transaction? Or, how does the POS app handle that.

You can remove an item before you've finished the sale and taken a card payment. You shouldn't have to process a refund because the payment part of the transaction hasn't even happened yet.
