Can I use USB backup battery with Square Stand?

Is it possible to use a USB backup battery connected to the Square Stand to power my iPad? I keep getting conflicted answers from people in stores..

Thanks for surfacing this! The only way to charge Square Stand is by plugging its AC power plug into an outlet. I hope this helps clear things up a bit more.
