Our team runs a tab system so that guests do not have to cash out after every item they order. Is there a way to enable stock numbers for items that would alert the staff if we run out of an item? For example, we have 5 Reubens left and a guest orders one, I want that number to decrease to 4 and eventually 86 itself from the menu when we have 0 left. This situation often happens before any guest closes their tab.
Hey @Coreydforbes thanks for asking. The ability to track inventory of any item in a pending state, whether that be a pending invoice or open ticket, is a feature request. The sale will have to be completed in order for the inventory to go down.
The only exception to this rule is if you have the Square for Restaurants subscription that will track inventory for each item sent to the kitchen via open tickets and allow you to 86 items in the moment if the inventory runs out.
