It is Saturday 12.30 PM (July 28th). I charged my clients a fee by mistake 2 days ago. The squareup admin says that I will recieve my payment by tomorrow eve (Sunday) for Monday deposit. But I don't want to receive the money and inconvenience client. How can I cancel the whole thing so the money would not be taken out of client account. It it too late? I can issue a refund but I don't even want the money to go to my bank account... Any suggestion for canceling the whole thing. I access squareup as merchant at squareup.com (don't use app)... Thanks for any suggestion....
the transaction is processed immediately and the hold/withdrawal of funds happens on your customer's card. if it didn't then people would be able to rack up tons of credit card use before the merchants turned in their sales. so you can refund it but it will already show up on their credit card.
