Can I have "customer charge accounts" with Square for Retail?

Square does not include any form of revolving customer charge accounts? I am moving from QBPoS and we have quite a few charge accounts that customers pay at the end of the month. They are not recurring as what they buy varies from month ot month. Our community is mostly elderly and we let them use charge accounts as a budgeting tool. If quare does nothave this are there any 3rd party apps that work with square for this feature? Even being able to put the transaction on "hold" with an account attached to it (as we could also do before with QBPOS) would suffice.

Thanks in advance

If you're using the Point of Sale app you could use open tickets.  this is how I handle clients I charge once a week.  simply put their name and start date when you start an open ticket.  https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5337-use-open-tickets-with-square

Well, it's not accurate to say that the open tickets function was removed from the Retail app. Rather, it has not been added yet.

I know it's confusing, but the Retail app is not a just a different version of the free app. From what I can tell, the Retail app is an entirely different program, built from the ground up. Unfortunately this means it doesn't yet have all of the features that the free app has been accumulating from the beginning.

I agree this is quite frustrating. I wish Square would quit releasing bare-bone versions of new products and not release something until it's more on par with what other companies are offering.

I am using Retail version. I saw open tickets in the free version. Retail has no option that I can see and I’m confused as to why that was removed?
