I recently launched my website for online ordering. We own a dessert shop, so at least 50% of sales come from customers ordering desserts in advanced for birthdays, holidays, parties, etc. So far the online ordering is working perfect, but we have no idea how to handle customers who want to place an order in person or over the phone because it appears that our register and iPad can only manage orders... but no option to create an order. Didn't see this coming! 😕
1. Is there a way to enter orders in directly through the app so they appear in the same pool as my online orders?
2. If not, is there a way we can manage our pre-orders and stuff in square so we can organize them by their pickup/date time?
Hi @thehungryhero - Welcome to the Seller Community
Because the Online Ordering works differently than the actual Point of Sale sells, things are separate, The only way to place an order for your customer would be to go to the website as if you were a customer and place the actual order.
At this time there is no way to manage pre-orders.
So that this doesn't impact your business in the future i'll be sure to make sure to make this visible to our product team.
