Automated POS charges?

Is it possible to have my POS system setup to take continuous payments. I want to set up a $5 donation station wand have people either tap/swipe and donate and automate the processing. 

Is anything like this possible? Or could it be somehow be built via custom development?

Ringing a donation can be done in multiple ways.  A recurring donation however is not and easy thing to do.  I don't know of anyway with Square to do this except with Recuring invoices.  This process however is not a selfservice thing.  There may be a third party App that will do this.
