As owner... how do I update a personal, legal name change?

I have had my square account for several year but recently got married.  My legal name is different and will effect 1099 etc.  How do I change this without creating a new account?

So I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but last that I remember that it won't be possible to do a name change, even if it is your legal name.  You would have to create a new account.  Here is a help article with some more infomration on that.
