Add our website on our customers bankcard statements

How can we add our customer service website to our customers' online credit card statements?

To maintain 100% top customer satisfaction and reduce any possibility of charge backs or disputes most companies show their website link on their customer's online bank card statements.

For example: logging in to AmericanExpress.com on your desktop and clicking on a recent charge, shows a clickable link: "Visit Business". Clicking on that link takes you to that particular business's customer service website.

Specifically, we pay LinkedIn.com via our Amex credit card. Clicking on that charge shows the charge's details which include the "Visit Business" link. Clicking on that link takes you to: "https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/ask/pmt-rc".

Viewing that same charge via Amex's iPhone app shows that entire web address and tapping on it takes you to the same webpage.

Therefore, I'd greatly appreciate Square support or anyone here in the Square community sharing a link to Square's webpage or a Square support article with detailed instructions on where/how we can add our customer service website on to our customers' online bank card statements.

Anyone with an American Express card can validate that nearly every other company (like Walmart, Target, Verizon, Zoom, USAA Insurance, etc.) includes a link to their customer service website on their customers' online bankcards statements.

Furthermore, it's not just large companies. Small, single location merchants like Hanna's restaurant and Shadow Trailers also have their websites on their customers' online credit card statements so we would like this feature as well.

As we've done business with thousands of businesses over the years, we noticed that some of Square's merchants include "squareup.com/receipts" on both their customers' online and paper bankcard statements. Again, so we can maintain our 100% top customer satisfaction, this should be our customer service web address, not "squareup.com/receipts". Therefore, if changing this is a different procedure, please share the link to these detailed instructions as well.

Thank you

@Rick95 I do not know the exact answer here, but one thing that is a little different at square is they are the merchant of record and not your individual business. Compared to say Elevon which is a payment processor/gateway.  A merchant of record is actually held liable for all of the requirements to process credit cards, where a payment processor is more of a facilitator and the individual merchant is liable for problems on an account.

So what you are asking for may not be possible, and may be why places that use other merchant processing can do that.  The one thing is, with a processor you will not get the robust software and tools you have with someone like square.

Just my 2c on this subject, but I understand why it would be important and valuable to have this as an option.

Hi @Donnie-M , thank you for the reply. Those are good facts to know. It seems like millions of companies are using Square (and Square seems to have endless features) so I’m hoping Square supports this and I just haven't been able to find the right support article. Maybe it's one of those special features you have to call and talk to a Square rep about.
