Accept appointment but with a change to the time - how do I do this?

I've changed my online appointments to "requests" that I need to accept, because I want the freedom of altering the times if needed. With Covid, the clean up times will be adding time to my usual schedule, and I want to be able to have some flexibility.

When a request comes through, it only offers accept / decline ... how do I change the time?  In the correspondence , theres a client communication that specifically says "Your appointment has been accepted with changes".

Hi @SuperiorImages,

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

To make sure I'm understanding, you have your appointments system set to need approval and confirmation on your side for every appointment your customer tries to book? Or do you only have that setting enabled when your customers try to change their originally scheduled time? Do you mind providing an example so I can escalate this up to our Appointments team? Thank you!

Please let me know by replying in this thread. I'll keep an eye out for your response.

Correct, I have to accept every appointment request.
I’m doing this because I want to make sure I can move the clients requested appointment if necessary, say they request a 1:30 appointment, but I actually have a 1:15 opening, I want to make the best use of my schedule by grouping the appointments together, so I don’t have dead zones in my day needlessly. It seems I can adjust it on the laptop prior to accepting it, but I can’t seem todo it on my phone through the app. I don’t want to have to accept their request and then message them a minute later telling the, the time has been changed.
My appointments  range from 45, 60, 75, 90, + minutes , so auto scheduling on the hour or half hour no longer works, and I don’t want to offer 15 minute increments to clients for online booking....

Hi @SuperiorImages

Thanks for being patient. I checked into this with our appointments team, and they mentioned that you definitely have the option to accept appointments and change the date/time of the appointment while accepting it. Your customer will then get a notification of the new date/time you selected.

Thank you,

my question is,

how do I go about doing that through the app on my phone?
I can only seem to do it on my laptop, by clicking and dragging the appointment to the new time.
on the app I tried to click on the time to alter it, but nothing happens- it does not show changing the time as an option.

@SuperiorImages

Gotcha. Looks like this can only be done through the Online Dashboard using a computer.
