Square Terminal Release Notes: SQUID 2.76

Hello Square Community! We're starting a release notes blog today, which will be updated about every three weeks with software updates that we release for Terminal.

We call Square Terminal software "SQUID" - it's like our version of iOS or Android. The current version of SQUID is 2.76, as the title of this post indicates. You can check the version of SQUID software that your device has by going into Settings > General > About Terminal. This version introduces the following:

New features available in SQUID 2.76:

• [New Feature] Release Loyalty Points in Cart UI

Use Square Loyalty? Loyalty points now appear in the checkout cart so you can see if a sale has earned points or not. Plus, if you add a customer to the sale, the cart shows if they have rewards available.

• [Bug Fixes] We made a number of other bug fixes and stability improvements to keep you running smoothly.

You can check which version of SQUID you have by going to Settings > General > About Terminal. If you don’t see this feature immediately, don’t worry.
