Square Register Release Notes: SQUID 2.80

Hello Square Community! Here are the latest release notes, which will be updated about every three weeks with software updates for Register.

 

New features available in SQUID 2.80:

 

  • [New Feature] Itemized Refunds in the Customers and Invoices Applet

You can now issue itemized refunds from a customer profile and an invoice. Select specific items to refund and we’ll take care of the rest.

 

  • [New Feature] Refund to Gift Card

Square Gift Cards now let you issue returns for credit back on the card—it works the same as issuing returns for other cards.

 

  • [New Feature] Employee Filtering in the Reports Applet

Got employees? You can now filter sales by employee and see who’s selling what.

 

  • [New Feature] Updates to Loyalty Section of Customer Profile

It’s easier to dig into a customer’s Loyalty history. Customer profiles now include customers’ lifetime points and how long they’ve been a Loyalty member.

 

  • [Bug Fixes] We made a number of other bug fixes and stability improvements to keep you running smoothly.

You can check which version of SQUID you have by going to Settings > General > About Register. If you don’t see this feature immediately, don’t worry.
