Live Order / Service Status Updates

My business more or less resolves around services, I accept items for repair, I do the service and I invoice for work done. It would be great if when I accept an item I can create a DRAFT INVOICE right away, one that I can simply update the status on, and if customer wants they can check on status via invoice # they've been given or something.

IE. I accept a phone to repair, instead of customer calling me to see if item is completed. They can simply plugin Invoice # and it shows one of a few custom status updates business owners can setup themselves. In my case, "Being Worked on Now", "In Queue", "Fixed" and when invoice has been sent out, and paid it would go automatically to a COMPLETED status or something.

Invoice # could also be considered a Ticket or Work Order # as its unique?

Anyways this would be a great feature 🙂
