Hello Square. As you know, running a restaurant entails a lot of liability, especially due to allergies. I recently procured one of your hardware Registers.
My staff NEED to be able to accurately type in customer allergies into the Notes when taking orders. But your AUTOCORRECT feature (which cannot be turned off) is CAUSING MAJOR LIABILITY ISSUES. For example, "Nut Allergy" is AUTOMATICALLY resolving to "But Allergy". That may seem funny to your dev team, but I assure you it is not. Unless you enable a way to turn off the Autocorrect option on your keyboard, if something happens that causes a customer to have an allergic reaction that leads to any sort of litigation, I will have no choice but to include Square as a culpable company for this outrageous failure of UX design.
Aside from the liability issues, the predictions are terrible, and are slowing are checkout processes down, as we constantly have to correct notes.
You need to include KEYBOARD OPTION asap on your Register settings!
I expect a prompt response to this very serious matter.
Thank-you.
