I have a free plan, testing these options for my business. What I would like to know is how do I get notifications, or a reminder of the appointment scheduled? Let's say I have a client scheduled tomorrow at 10am, I would like to be reminded the day before or a couple of hours before. I do not get a reminder letting me know about it, nor do I see an option to turn that setting on/off. I do not have a Google calendar linked because I use Microsoft. Is that a feature only with a paid subscription? Or is that just not an option at all? Thanks!

Welcome to the Square Community. As far as reminders to a Google Calendar, that is an option with Appointment Plus subscription.. I also believe that the booking API which may allow you to sync with your Microsoft calendar is also in that plus subscription. You can try it free for 30 days however and see if it is worth the cost for you though also.

The free plan has lots of limitations, I personally use both Microsoft and Google calendars, I will tell you Google is definitely much easier and integrates seamlessly compared to Microsoft, but just like @Minion mentioned its the Plus plan that offers the google calendar sync. The free plan does say it includes notifications through square, but I have found square notifications to be inconsistent and unreliable. but definitely worth a shot for you to try it for 30 days free and see if it makes sense for you
The Bookings API is definitely a life saver but its a little work upfront to get it integrated.
You could always sync it to google and the share your google calendar with your Microsoft calendar so you only view one app/calendar
