Unable to connect Square Appointments to Square Online

I have full access to this account, but Iโ€™m encountering an issue when trying to connect Appointments to my Square Online site. The seller is actively using Appointments, so I know itโ€™s set up, but Iโ€™m unable to connect it to the Square Online site. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am going to list below some troubleshooting steps that could help you connect Square Appointments with Square Online. 

 

Troubleshooting Steps
  1. Check Permissions

    • Go to Square Dashboard
    • Navigate to Team โ†’ Team Members
    • Find your account
    • Verify you have specific permissions for:
      • Square Online
      • Appointments
      • Site Management
  2. Quick Fixes
    1. Log out and back into your Square account
    2. Clear your browser cache
    3. Try using a different browser
    4. Ensure you're using the primary location for Appointments

I have also included the steps for turning on Online Booking :

 

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and click Appointments or Payments > Appointments.
  2. Click Online Booking > Channels.
  3. Toggle ON Enable online booking.
  4. If applicable, click Manage next to Locations to choose your location(s).
  5. Under Booking channels, click Preview & edit next to Square Online website.
  6. Use the options to create your online booking site.
  7. When youโ€™re done, click Publish in the top right corner.
  8. From the Site published page, you can view and copy your online booking site URL.

Hey! If the seller is actively using Appointments but youโ€™re unable to connect it to the Square Online site, here are a few things to check:

  1. Confirm Youโ€™re Logged into the Right Account โ€“ Since you have full access, make sure youโ€™re in the correct Square Online account under Square Dashboard > Online.
  2. Check the Online Booking Settings โ€“ Go to Square Dashboard > Appointments > Online Booking and see if itโ€™s linked to a Square Online site. If itโ€™s not, you may need to manually enable it.
  3. Manually Link the Site โ€“ In Square Online, go to Settings > Appointments, and check if you can toggle on the connection there.
  4. Clear Cache & Try a Different Browser โ€“ If Square Online is glitching, clearing cache or switching browsers can sometimes help.
  5. Check for Multiple Sites โ€“ If the seller has multiple Square Online sites, make sure youโ€™re trying to connect to the correct one.

If you still canโ€™t connect, it might be an issue on Squareโ€™s end, and Iโ€™d recommend reaching out to Square Support so they can take a deeper look.

Thanks guys! I've gone through all the troubleshooting with no luck. Square Support has submitted a SECOND ticket to Appointments, so we'll see how this goes. I'll report back.
