How do I add multiple add-ons?

I’m trying to start a nail business and I’m using Square Appointments for bookings. I was trying to figure out how to make it so that they are able to select MULTIPLE add ons such as french tips, glitter, rhinstones, etc. instead of just being able to add one when clicking their set option. For example:

They click Full Set -> They click short for length -> They can apple multiple add-ons (French Tips and Rhinestones)

Right now I don’t know how to do the multiple add ons part. I’ve tried YouTube, TikTok and even the website but I feel like I’m not understanding.

@ashaacrylics Service modifiers will not appear on the Appointments online booking flow. If you're looking to allow customers to select multiple add-ons during booking, you may need to set up separate items and service variations.

Hey @ashaacrylics,

Welcome to the Community!

That’s a great question! Just to clarify, when you say add-ons, are you referring to modifiers in Square, or are you adding them as separate services?

Where are you currently adding these add-ons in Square? If possible, can you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing? That’ll help us guide you in the right direction!

If you’re looking to let customers select multiple customizations (like French tips, glitter, and rhinestones), modifiers might be the best solution. You can set up multiple modifiers under a category (e.g., "Nail Enhancements") and allow customers to select more than one when booking.

Hello and Thank you for the welcome!

Yes I was referring to modifiers that can be added to the services as “various options”. I tried putting them in but when I check the actual site the modifiers don’t display, just the services. It won’t let me attach a screenshot unfortunately though.

@ashaacrylics, thank you for clarifying. Can you please provide the link to your website so I can take a look on my end?

@ashaacrylics, by the way I just checked out your site and despite Square not offering service-based add-ons (the way you and I both want them to!), the way you've laid it out on your site (I just visited the link above), is the best way I've seen it laid out. I may copy for mine. 👏🏻

Is there a timeline (feature request website log?) for Square to offer *service* add-ons (vs. *item* modifiers?). This can't be that difficult of a feature for Square Appointments, and it seems like one that a lot of service-oriented businesses have been requesting for a long time (I've contact Square about it for a few years). There's still so much confusion as to what exactly the users are asking for. We want what Acuity:Scheduling offers with time-based service add-ons, but don't want to switch away from the Square ecosystem! Don't tempt the people to leave you, Square. Hook us up!
