Convert Appointment To Invoices

Is there a way to attach an appointment to an invoice OR an invoice to an appointment OR after the appointment send as an invoice instead of collecting payment at that moment?

It seems that invoices and appointments aren't connected, so when creating an appointment it's asking to take payment at the moment when I would like to invoice it instead.

Appointments should allow us to attach an invoice or convert the appointment to an invoice. This is very frustrating.

HI @JORAservices.  No need to be frustrated!  It’s there.  It’s just not a normal payment type for appointments since most people who use it get immediate payment after service.  So…

In your appointments app, go to More -> Settings -> Checkout -> Payment.  You’ll see the “Invoice” payment type in the disabled payment types section.  Click on the 6 dots next to it and drag it up to your Main payment types section.

Now, when you checkout you’ll have the option to create an invoice instead of record an immediate payment.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Wow, ok that's great! I got it to work. But this only on the app? Desktop is where I do most of my work, as I provide professional services rather than like a hair appointment. Thank you so much for the tip!

You’re welcome.  And to answer your follow-up question, you are correct in observing that invoices is NOT an option when closing an appointment online.  You must use either a tablet or phone app to get that feature, it seems.  If you want to submit a feature request to the appointments team, you can do it here.  But, that will take time, obviously.  So you’ll need to use one of these methods now — tablet or phone app.
