Minimum stock alerts

I sell many items by weight for example

“hand cut soap”

we buy the soap in bars of approx 1.2kg.
however the system will not allow me to put a minimum stock level “stock alert” less than 1.
I would like the ability to put the stock alert to for example .25kg.
