Black Friday & Small Business Saturday

With this being Thanksgiving week and Black Friday and Small Business Saturday coming up, how many of you sales all weekend? I am debating whether or not to do something on Black Friday. My thought is that SBS is more important to us that have small businesses than doing anything for BF. I think the sale I am going to do Saturday is pretty good...so just wondering if I should do something Friday. What are the rest of you doing?

This is the first Holiday weekend of my business so I'm mining information from the veteran business owners.  I've also have been debating on Small Business Saturday and looking at On-line Monday.  Are buyers still hitting these days or are they just shopping whenever do to the pandemic?  Is it worth additional advertising money? Barefoot & Braless Gardens

Hi amy and lisa, im pretty new to online selling as well, but i started advertising last week for black friday. I figure we SMALL businesses need the biggest head start we can get. Ive had people view my ads and all but still no sales. So, if you have products that people buy, i would say definatley advertise for the big shopping days!. Hope this helps.

So instead of offering sales for SBS, I am offering an experience. That's why people shop local. We are having a North Pole mailbox for the kiddos to mail letters, a FREE holiday photo station, hourly give aways (which will be gift certificates to other local businesses), our town Bridge lighting at 6, I have a local musician (who happens to be my hubby,) singing Christmas tunes, and a hot cocoa bar (with everything prepackaged for covid reasons.) My store is also decked out to the max for the holidays with over 20 trees all in different themes so its all about kicking off the holiday season with a bang. Also, I'm closed Friday to prep for the event because everyone will be shopping the large stores anyway.

This is our third Christmas season open, and we decided to run a promo all week long (11/23-11/30) which is small free gift with every purchase PLUS free socks or mask with $50 purchase. People love freebies and it can be an extra stocking stuffer for them. Third year in and I'm still not sure if I know what I'm doing so hang in there!
