I am so mad square is holding my funds asking that i verify my identity. When i try to do so there isn't even an option to do so!! I followed their instructions and nothing, it just leads to a dead end the chat support is no help the call center is no help i have been reaching out for days trying to get my hard earned money i am a sole proprietor this is hurting my business!! what can i do has anyone resolved this issue? is there someone i can talk to that can actually help me get my money? needless to say i will no longer be using square once this issue is resolved the worst customer service i have ever encountered.
@InkGirl23 I know this is a really upsetting issue. Did you verify all of your credentials when you signed up for your account?
I am assuming you got an e-mail asking for the verification....Also, if you have a new account, I have seen this most often brought up here if you open a new account and then have large not in person transactions.

Yes I have done All of that the email they sent leads nowhere I have no notifications that I need to verify and their customer service just dismisses me like oh well too bad!
@InkGirl23 If you go to your online dashboard on the web, can you see an information request? or where you submitted anything? (Settings > Account & Settings > Information Requests)
There isn’t one that’s the problem here and none of the customer serve people are willing to help
@InkGirl23 how did you find out your transfers are suspended? did you get an e-mail? Main thing I would do is contact customer service again and ask for an information request, I know that is frustrating, but you are looking for the beginning so you can get to the end.
Does square have mods to help people in this community? I'm in the same position as OP and it's very frustrating.
They just did this to us as well and we have been using Square for our business for 2 years. This has caused us to not be able to pay our employees through payroll and is actively ruining our business. We cannot get any answers through customer service. No active requests in the "Information Requests". No emails. I'm furious.
Hey. I am having the same issue. I will no longer be using square after all of this. This is ridiculous. We already have to verify identity when signing up for an account with square. A traditional bank would not do this. I had this happen to me for the second time in two weeks. Im so highly upset. I would not recommend square ever to any one. Have you been able to resolve this?
I just made the account and had some small test payments go though to try it out and their now holding the money and saying that they couldn’t verify my identity. Square is definitely the worst platform I’ve ever used and the fees are terrible
