I keep getting fraudulent transactions. What can I do to stop this? Some how they are getting my square card info? Any advice.
Have you enabled 2 factor authentication? If not I would do that first. Also make sure you contact square about the fraudulent transactions. You may need to request a new card and card number if it continues.
Yes, I have done two steps. I am consentingly requesting a new card because of these random charges
This is why I do not have Square Banking or a Square Card. With my CC through my Bank even as a Business account I am protected from Fraudulent charges. My banks CC was stolen by an handheld skimmer as the cc was still in my pocket and wallet. Showed 2 Transactions one in upstate NY and one in Utah the next day. I Called my bank and they got my money back.
From the above comments Square sides with Scammers when the CC is used Fraudulently against you as a Customer, and will also side with banks when a Scammer is scamming you and then says well the Bank protects its customers. So when are you Squares Customer? Never? Stop using Square CC because you will not be protected. Plus other Credit Cards have cash Back options for purchases, When doing big orders monthly this can add up.
My best advice is to stop using square banking. This has happened to us multiple times and square sides with the scammers and not their banking customers. We lost a lot of money recently and have been phasing out square and square banking since it happened. They said they were siding with the scammers and not refunding us and cited a section of their terms that states they don’t have to protect commercial clients at all from fraudulent charges.
