Remove suspension

My domain has been suspended by Weebly.  I can't figure out how to remove the suspension.

Hi @Dandy512 👋 Community Moderator, Violet, here. I'm happy to provide some more information.

When your Square Online or Weebly site is suspended, this means the payment method we have on file for your domain subscription couldn't be charged. Oftentimes, the card on file is expired, and we just need you to update your payment method.

Since our Support Team was unable to locate your account, using the information you provided during your interaction, and you're unable to receive the password reset email, it's likely that we have a different email address on file for you.

Without sharing your email here, can you think of any other email addresses you could've used for your account? I suggest trying that at log in, and see if you're able to successfully receive the password reset email. Then, you can log in and update your payment info.

Hi there @Dandy512.. Sorry to hear about this. There is not much you can do beyond contacting customer support. They will need to verify your access to the account, first, then they can help you resolve this.  Before you call them, though, you should have received an email letting you know about the suspension, reason, etc.  If you didn't, check your junk email box.  There might be instructions for resolving this there.  Usually it is just a problem with renewal payments, and you'd want to fix that quickly because if you don't the domain will go back into the pool for anyone to purchase.

I am attempting to remove the suspension of the domain E39CofChrist.org.
1. When I try to enter the Weebly website for that domain, I get "Wrong username or password".
2. When I click "Forgot Password", and "Send", no email is sent to my address (*email address removed*)

I have a Square account for a different group. When I open it, I can then actually access my Weebly account. But, when I access it that way, I can't see any way to pay for the domain or remove the suspension.

There are a couple of ways to sign into Weebly accounts since Square switched all of those to using Square accounts.  But let's try this.  Follow the steps below EXACTLY, please.

 

  1. Go to weebly.com
  2. Click log in at the top
  3. DO NOT enter your email/username here.  Click on the "log in with Square" button, instead.
  4. NOW, enter your email address and password.

That should give you the access you need.  Let me know if that works for you.

This didn't work.

I started a chat with Square.  The result was that I was told that what I was submitting did not match their records.  I find this unlikely since this is the same log on information I have been using for the last several years to pay for the domain which is all that I'm trying to do now.  They won't give me any idea what part of what I submitted didn't match.  I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor.  In fact, I have not been able to speak to anyone there.  In the almost 30 years I have been writing web sites, this is the worst "Support" system I have ever encountered.  I have no idea what to try next.  However, I do appreciate your help.

@Dandy512 Sorry that didn't help.  But, given that the chat support person told you your credentials didn't match, I guess it wouldn't have helped. I'm going to assume that when you tried the "forgot password" route, you checked that email address's junk box, too?

 

Anyway, I'm going to tag the Square moderators here and see if they can work with the Weebly team to figure out what is going on.  Fair warning -- it's a holiday weekend, so don't expect much before Tuesday.
