And you haven't even master the art of selling a freaking product!!!


The iPad interface is full of bugs, the card reader needs to be reconnected with the rear button every freaking time, I don't mind it but why didn't you just put the button on the outside instead of having to take apart the **bleep** thing every time. And while you're trying to ring up a customer and choosing items from the library the App keeps bringing stupid pop up windows telling you that the reader finally connect or that the stand connected. I don't need those pop ups! You end up clicking them invariably because the use the whole freaking screen and you have to start over!!!


You want to check what items are in a bill, you can't! because the names are too long for the tiny space left for them on the right side of the screen so when you're ringing someone for more than 10 items and you want to make sure you dont miss anything you have to click edit all the time on each item to make sure you don't miss an item and loose money on something that was not on the bill!

Why can't I edit quantities on tickets?, why do I have to erase an article and go searching for it again to add or subtract an item when I could just press a plus or minus sign like you do on the non ticket window.

 

The new browser login window doesn't let my auto fill system fill in the user and password so I have to type them 20 times a day to add items or change prices on items or check my sales. I don't want nor need to spend more time on the platform, this is not Instagram or Facebook, I want to spend as little as possible thinking on the POS I have a business to run.

These are just the ones that I have time to talk about here, I have way too much work and there's nothing more frustrating than fighting your POS all the time when all you want is simplicity and speed

 

If Square wants to become the de facto go to POS system it will have to do much more than having a bunch of developers adding features without feedback from the people on the field 13 years that look like 2! Yei 😞

Hello @Pau and thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble with your Square products. As a fellow business owner I know there is too much to do and troubleshooting hardware/software issues takes away from selling and servicing our customers. Can I ask, how long have you used Square products? It sounds like quite a while because you have quite a list of issues that are not working for you. And it looks like this is the first time you've posted in the Square Community? The boards in the Square Community are full of fellow business owners just like you. We do not work for Square, but we love their products and have a lot of experience in using them. While we also experience frustrations with trying to get computers to do exactly what we want them to, this is a great place to ask questions and try to get help. We are not the enemy LOL, we truly love to help other business owners.

 

Please don't allow your frustrations to build up; there are users here happy to help answer questions and solve issues, but if you wait to ask for help I find that frustrations build up even more. So please feel free to kindly ask questions and if another user has experience that could help you they can reply with a possible answer or avenue for a solution.

 

There are other options out there for POS systems and taking payments for businesses. We know because we've explored those options and have chosen Square for reasons specific to each of us as business owners. I hope you'll continue to give Square a chance...and more importantly, give your fellow business owners here the chance to help you. Many questions that arise have already been researched and solutions or work-arounds have been discovered; you can do a search at the top of the page to see if anyone else is also feeling frustrated about a particular topic. Chances are you'll see someone else has had a similar question and see possible solutions.
