Re: [New] Customer accounts for Square Online

@shff

Hi Jen

It doesn't seem to matter that users outside the US require features currently available to the US users, you'll be lucky to get a response from anyone at Square, let alone one that you'll want to hear!

It's become obvious to me, after patiently waiting for features over the last couple years, using Square would probably mean we'll always be so far (years) behind other platforms features - including Square's own in the US!

Shame coz I kinda liked it...

Ian

Don't hold your breath!  The UK and many other territories don't seem to be a priority for Square.

I paid for a plan earlier this year where it clearly listed a feature, alongside a cost in GBP, that doesn't even work in the UK!

When I questioned square about it they just offered me my money back, they had no idea when or if it would be available for us.

IMHO UK retailers are much better off on other platforms.

Obviously a negative opinion from a paying square customer isn't welcome on this public forum? 😕

And if I can't write it, it's obviously never going to be considered.

But hey, I suppose it's easier to delete than discuss!

@TSCS I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that your posts were deleted because of the tone of your response. I did see one of them before it went away, and the amount of bitterness was extreme.

I can only imagine how frustrating it is that US sellers get a far greater suite of products than other countries. And yes, the lack of updates for these new bells and whistles for non-US sellers is annoying.

How you explain those frustrations will definitely make a difference in how you will be responded to. Flies to honey kind of thing.

If Square isn’t moving at the speed you’d like them to, perhaps there is an alternative that does have the bells and whistles? I’m not trying to say you need to dump Square, but in the day to day operations of a small business, shouldn’t you quickly fix what is broken to help keep you sane?
