Re: I am unable to send text messages to customers from square appointments. when will this be fixed

I just subscribed to Square Messages Plus (few days ago). I received notification that my number has been verified. We began using it like normal and all of a sudden messages are going RED, mid conversation, requiring the client/guest to "reply with TALK" in order to communicate with me. WHY DID I SUBSCRIBE TO PAY? There is literally no point. If I have a phone number with Verizon, ATT, Tmobile, etc, I can just message whoever I want and they can reply or not reply, or tell me to remove them from communications. It APPEARS that all that happened when I subscribed and am now paying monthly for, is to be able to send a coupon or something via text. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I am PAYING for a dedicated number that I am responsible for (SPAM act, etc)., square should not be interfering with my messages and restricting me in any way. I am SOOO sick of this stuff. I pay THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS per year and everything is nickel and dimming and then it's RESTRICTED all the time. I pay $10 for Square Messages PLUS but apparently the plus is a minus because it doesnt actually let me message the clients. I have had to go back to my other messaging system right away. Is it a setting I need to change? Is there something I can do?

Wait so even when I subscribed to square messages PLUS for $10 a month, it actually didn’t do anything? If a client replied to any invoice, appointment notification, etc previously, it would allow me to chat with them. So subscribing and PAYING does nothing for me? I am still restricted and can't just message clients whenever I want?
