I must say, the recent update to include device profiles has significantly simplified the process of supporting various configurations.
Ideally, we would like to maintain the device profile feature while incorporating an option to include or exclude starting cash as part of the profile. This enhancement would enable some retailers to standardize the starting cash across their drawers, while others, like us, could customize it individually without needing multiple profiles or sacrificing the ability to centrally manage all other settings.
Having a uniform starting cash amount across different locations and drawers is not beneficial for us, as each site handles varying sales volumes and may rely more heavily on one cash drawer than another.
