Is this company really this bad ??

I am in complete disbelief how I have been treated by this company.... I signed up for a new account and after the countrywide lock down I decided to try and diversify my business because I have staff that depend on me to pay them. So I taken a international payment which Square told me I could do and told me this would be in my bank account in 1-2 business days.

 

After taking the payment Square emailed me to say my deposits had been suspended until I provided information regarding the payment, I did just that and later on I received another payment telling me my account would be disabled and they would be keeping my funds for 90 days.

 

I told them this was outrageous however I can understand that square needs to make sure there aren't any disputes etc so to eliminate Square's risk I asked the customer to write a letter to square saying they are happy for my funds to be released and provided a picture of the credit card he used to make the payment just to verify everything.

 

Square's response.... Sorry irrelevant of the letter we are keeping your money for 90 days... So square are keeping 11,490 GBP of mine because they feel like it ??

 

My advice to everyone, CLOSE your accounts before your money is kept.

I so agree with this seller.  I have the same issue.  There are hundreds  -- literally hundreds -- of people who have had their money stolen by Square when you read online.  They have no accountability: you can't call them (they block this option). You can't expect an answer from emailing them (it's been weeks, and dozens of attempts to get an answer, and NOTHING).  When you write in these forums, you get angry messages back from moderators who say it's inappropriate.  This is like saying, "You burnt your toast, so now you have to reroof the house!"

 

GIVE ME A BREAK!  I WANT MY MONEY AND I WANT AN ANSWER SQUARE! SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE YOU HAVE STOLEN FROM.  ANSWERS.  I have been with you for FIVE YEARS, processed in excess of $300K, and made you money, even taken out a loan from you and paid back with interest on time.  Your response?  BLOCK MY MONEY AND IGNORE ME.  This ghosting thing is very millenial.  I'm not accepting it.  If I don't get an answer and a real answer from a real person soon, I'm joining a class action suit against this poor excuse for an organization.
