How come Square doesn’t ask employees what they think of having to use square

square is such hot garbage. The UX and UI experience make me and my coworkers want to stab out our eyes. The amount of technical troubleshooting I have to do on a daily basis. I tell everyone, customers, small business owners people who use square already- how awful it is to create a product and not seem to have used it a day in your life. I have people look at me like I’m stupid when I’m playing “where’s Waldo” for buttons, and when I show them they go “oh that’s awful”. Also HEY THANKS FOR CHANGING YOUR UI RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. Idiots seem to have NEVER worked food service or customer service in their entire lives.

Hello @Helpmeimnotdumb ,

Well, I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues, but what type of technical issues are you having?    Also, I'm a bit confused to playing "where's waldo", when all the menus are end-user customizable.   This make me ask;

  • Do you know how to access the POS Layout, and if so, what's the issue with it?
  • Is your category structure built in a way that is logical, easy to follow for your team? (appetizers, salad & soup, desserts...etc)
  • Have you tried color-coding the different item types?  (beverages blue....salads green...etc)
  • I am also curious to know what POS UX/UI change you are referring to, or are you referring to the item creation overhaul?

My team here loves Square, and I'm sorry you feel the way you do.  Let us know your issues here and we'll try to help.
