For the last two months I received two disputes from customers banks claiming unknown charge. When I investigate it was bought the e-giftcards. I disputed that I can't refund on egiftcards, but customers' bank returned them money back. When I started to investigate all over again, I see that it's the scam: a customer gets e-giftcards, uses the same day and a month later claims that it was unknown charge on their bank statement. I am seeing it now that that on receipt they have e-giftcard number, and that exact e-giftcard was used the same day.
Now I am 295$ short because bank resolved the dispute in customer favor. Square did not reply to my emails and their support don't have article how to navigate in this. I am so **bleep**ed now.
Hi there, @Asel thank you for reaching out. Sorry to hear of your frustration surrounding the result of these Disputes.
Square doesn’t decide who wins or loses a dispute—that’s up to the bank that issued your customer’s credit card (like Visa or MasterCard). However, you have a better chance of avoiding future disputes by following a few best practices. Please see this article from our Support Center for further details.
I hope this information is helpful, but please do let me know if you have any questions.
