What is happening!? I can't get ahold of any support. Last I had heard there was a huge glitch happening and the sites were not functioning. My customers were unable to place orders and couldn't process an order. Randomly tonight one of my customers was charged EIGHT times over and over the same amount. She did not receive an order number or any type of confirmation, just bank charges.
What do I do?
@swansorifinds There we payment issues system-wide tonight. It’s no comfort but you were not alone, whether the payments were in-person or online. If I were a betting man, which I sort of am LOL, I’m pretty sure that all of those eight charges are only pre-authorizations. Only one of them will actually end up being processed.
HOWEVER, there’s only one way to be certain/safe. In the morning, contact Square customer success team here. They will be able to sort it out for you so that you can reassure your customer. Your customer probably panicked and kept hitting the SUBMIT button. Hopefully. Square will sort it out, but this requires a human.
Lastly, have you checked your online order history to see if any order number(s) were assigned? This will help you when you talk to Square.
