I just turned 18, I originally used my mother's information to run the account since I was a minor. I am trying to transfer it but whenever I try to verify my identity, it doesn't let me.
What can i do?
Hi DinastiaReal,
Things like this can be frustrating for sure - suggest contacting Customer Support as the Community is not the same as Tech or Customer Support. We really don't have any details as to how things are currently setup with the account you're using - additionally you may need some professional advice which is beyond the scope of this Community.
Hi there, @DinastiaReal!
@JK_Fiber_Art is correct here. You will need to reach out to our Support Team as they will be able to help you better troubleshoot this issue. Also, identity verification is very sensitive and you do not want to run into any issues regarding too many attempts.
Hope this helps!
As others have mentioned the best thing is to call Square Support, the number is in my signature below.
I also remember seeing that you can not transfer ownership of a Square account, I think this is because it is setup through SS or EIN numbers which Identifies a person or Business. The best thing to do is probably setup your Own Square account, and then Export all data from 'Moms' account as csv files then Upload those to your new account. You can do this with Vendors, Customers, and your Square catalog. You will loose your sales data from when you were selling under your moms account.
