**Update: This issue was solved by Square. The account was successfully transferred.**

Hello and greetings. I am the new owner of a business that has a square account with a lot of inventory and customer information, including a history of transactions that I do not want to lose access to (i.e. I would like to be able to duplicate invoices etc for customers instead of creating new ones). I know that Square does not allow accounts to be transferred when selling a business, but everything except the owner and nursery location information are the same. The EIN is the same, all of the inventory is the same, etc. I don't want to lose any of the current square account information.

The online help suggests downloading CSV files and uploading them to the a new account. Isn't there an easier way to change ownership? One that doesn't include losing all of the invoice/customer transaction history? Also, if I create a new square account with the same EIN, is that going to be a red flag within Square or cause any other problems? It just seems like there should be an easier way to change ownership information instead of going through all of the work of creating a new account for a business that is not changing in any other way.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this an easier process while retaining all of the inventory and old information?
