Account under review

I am absolutely beyond upset right now!!  In the last week, my account has been put into an "under review" status, shutting off my access to MY money.   I cannot make purchases, I cannot transfer money from Sqaure to an outside account,  I can accept customer payments, but then Sqaure holds that money making it not even show up in my balance.   I have auto payments come out of this account for bills related to the salon, all of those payments were declined and I will not have late fees/NSF fees because of this.   I called Square last night to find out what the hell was going on, only to have been put on hold 3 times for over 20 minutes and then disconnected, twice disconnected when I was being transferred to another department.   When I FINALLY was able to talk to someone, no explanation as to why my account has been put under review TWICE in the last week, but they did tell me it could take 1 to 3 business days to resolve.  So in the last week, I have had access taken away from me from MY OWN MONEY a total of 4 out of the last 7 days.  Has anyone experienced this???  I am about to leave Squaren for good!!!

Same has happened to me since last Friday. I have $4000 payroll that needs to go through by Sunday night and they won't release my funds, I don't know what to do. I have never ever had a problem with square and this makes me so sad because I really liked them. Not any more.

I am so sorry this has happened to you.   It is day 3 now with absolutely no access to my money.  So many of my bills were to have been paid yesterday through autopay and ALL were denied, causing me to now have late fees and NSF fees.   I am beyond frustrated and angry and I will be reporting them to the BBB and have already contacted my business attorney to see what steps we can take.   Holding my money hostage for no apparent reason is illegal.  I have called them more that 50 times and have gotten nowhere.   As soon as I have access to my funds I will be transferring all of my money out of Square and canceling my service with them.

I will be closing my account as well as soon as I get my money. In the mean time I have filed a complaint with the FBI consumer financial protection bureau. They have begun an investigation as well. Apparently this is happening a lot.

I’m so glad I’m not the only business going thru this, but it’s frustrating I had to pay employees on Friday I told them to please wait till Monday. They have several thousand dollars frozen with no explanation my account has been under review twice this week but this second time it’s around the weekend and that department is closed till Monday even though when I called Friday they said that I should be getting a call before the end of the day because they said my account was out under review because there was a login from and unrecognized devise in which case I told them it was me and there was no reason to suspect fraud !!!! Still after telling them that I might have to **bleep** down my Bussiness because I have no access s to my funds they still did not care .I think it’s time to find a new processing company square has just gotten too complicated
