I am making a manual payment entry with a Visa card.
I have double checked the number, expiry date, and security code but when I enter it I get a message
”invalid card type” and I can’t process the payment.
i used the exact card two weeks again and it worked. What’s going on?
Have you tried calling Visa?
Or the bank or institution that issued the card?

I spoke with my client and she was using it today with other merchants so the card is good. Just wondering why Square won’t accept it?

Did you see the card yourself to make sure the numbers match the card or did the customer send you the numbers?
I've seen this happen when customers typo a number before. Also, do you know what kind of card it is?
It'd be easier for our direct CS team to take a look since we don't have access to account specifics here from the Community but I'm happy to try and help.
I successfully charged with the exact same card at the end of October.
