Where do I pay for Google Workspace?

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "where in the actual **** do i pay for my google workspace account???"

i got a new debit card and apparently my google workspace account is through square so i cant access anything including my emails until i update my card. google workspace says "contact reseller" and the reseller is square. i've litterally looked EVERYWHERE ON MY SQUARE ACCOUNT AND THERES NO OPTIONS.  figured it out only when i was going to cancel the plan through square. go here and it should give you more options to either cancel or find the hidden billing page https://perch-opossum-ggf8.squarespace.com/config/settings/gsuite-reactivation

Hi @StargazerFarm,

I’m really sorry to hear you’re getting stuck in this loop - I know how frustrating it can be when all you want to do is make a payment.

Since Square only resells the Workspace product for Google, we have limited control over some of its elements, and certain troubleshooting steps will need to be directed to Google for resolution.

That said, I can walk you through the steps to make a payment for Google Workspace through your Square account:

1. Go to Account settings in your Square Online Overview page.
2. Select My Services to add or change the payment method on file for your Google Workspace service.

If your billing has lapsed, follow these steps:

1. From your Square Online Overview page, go to Website > Domains.
2. Under the domain linked to your email address, select Manage > Activate email.
3. Confirm the email addresses you wish to renew.
4. Select Purchase to finish.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue you're seeing! Let me know how it goes.

This is the most infuriating thing I have ever dealt with in online commerce. One link sends you to a page saying to contact your reseller and it goes to weebly which says go to square and square has absolutely nothing. I've been running in circles trying to get my email back up for 2 days. Customer support is worthless and kept wanting me to call google.

This is infuriating. Every link tells you to go somewhere else and there's nowhere to actually pay for the stupid account. There are so many complaints about this in the community... why don't you FIX IT! I WANT to pay but you don't have anywhere for me to go and actually pay.

I am desperate. After going in circles with the expired Google Workspace nonsense where there's absolutely nowhere to pay or continue after the free trial, I have to get my email up and running. I signed up for Zoho and need to verify my domain ownership. My domain is hosted on register.com through Square.

I try to add a new DNS record through the Square Domain management... tried txt and CNAME... I click Save, it spins and then there's no new entry in my list. Have tried a dozen times, reset, tried again. Nothing.

I also tried to edit the existing entry for the now cancelled Google account... it will not save.

I've seen similar posts but no solutions. I've already spent an hour on the phone with support about the Google issue and that never got resolved.

I'm a new Square Online client and really not very happy with this. We just launched two big ad campaigns yesterday and I have no email. I'm done with Google Workspace and about to be done with Square altogether. The Square experience has been great, but this is really a bridge on which I need to make a decision. The Google thing is totally unacceptable.... 3 days I tried to respond to "Your free trial has expired" and there's no way to fix it. No way to pay for it. All links are dead ends.

Very Frustrated. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi there, @StargazerFarm 👋

I noticed you posted about this topic a total of 3 times. I went ahead and merged your duplicate posts to this
existing thread where @Laurie_ provided some steps for you to try yesterday. We merge duplicate conversations together to keep like comments in one place, and to make it easier for others to find the thread in the future. I also want to make sure you've seen our Seller Community Code of Conduct. We ask Seller Community Members to not post the same message in multiple places, as it is not productive for our Moderators.

Now that we have that out of the way, please let us know if you're still having trouble after completing the provided instructions. We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

I apologize for the multiple posts. I commented on other posts and didn't realize it would appear as multiple requests for the same answer. I will not do that again.

I did follow your instructions and responded above as it did not help... I'm still in the same loop and don't see the same options/menus that you describe. I'm open to other suggestions.

Another option would be for me to use my Zoho mail account, but I need to add a DNS record to prove ownership... I have tried that multiple times as well and it won't save my new records. Do you have any suggestions on getting that to work as a workaround for the Google issue?

Either option is fine, I just need email up and running again.

Thanks!

Rob

Your link is for SQUARESPACE.... it is NOT the same company as Square. I have a Square account, not a Squarespace account.

Thank you for your reply. My Free Trial did expire. I tried for 2 days to find where to pay for it before it expired, but was never able to. That said, I followed your instructions and don't see any option to Activate Email. When I click the Billing option, it sends me in a loop to the blue page and then back to the main Square Dashboard. When I Manage Email, I just have options to Add a user or an Alias. Open Inbox tells me my account is suspended.

When I try your first suggestion and click "Account Settings" it goes to that same blue page which has a link that just sends me back to Square. All tabs on that blue page are empty and say "View and manage your Plans/Domains/Payments/Subscriptions in Square Dashboard."

This is exactly the loop I have been getting stuck in for days.

Hi @StargazerFarm

Unfortunately, we don't have access to your account information so the help we can provide at this stage is limited. If you haven't done so, I suggest reaching out to our Support Team directly, they'll be able to take a closer look at your settings and escalate to our engineers if needed:

Here is the final outcome. After many hours on the phone and a week and a half with no email, I FINALLY got escalated to some specialist at Weebly, not Square.

My account suddenly, after several days, gave me the option to 'Activate Email' where previously it had only said 'Manage Email.' I thought I was home free.... I followed the links to my subscriptions and sure enough it said something about reactivating my Google Workspace, added it to the cart, checked out... "Unknown error. Try again." Tried repeatedly with multiple cards, updated my billing settings... checked my bank accounts.... Weebly was charging my account $70 every time.. AND THEN IMMEDIATELY REFUNDING IT. Over and over and over. I went to my bank. They said the transactions were all being initiated and processed by Weebly. My cards were going through fine.

Came home, and back on the phone. This time I already had a case number and was escalated to the Weebly tech. After an hour, she couldn't figure it out either. Long story less long... she disconnected my Google Workspace from the 'reseller' (Weebly). I had to sign a form to authorize it. Then I logged into my Google Business account and went to Subscriptions and bought a new Google workspace subscription directly through google. My DNS and MX records didn't have to be updated in Square Domain Management, and my email worked immediately.

Lessons learned...

1. GET A CASE NUMBER. Every call, refer them to the case number. This will get you escalated faster than starting over every single call.

2. Be very specific and detailed when you talk to them. Mention everything you have already done, every call you've made, the trip to the bank (confirming it wasn't my credit card problem), etc etc.

3. Be nice. As angry and frustrated as I was after a week of dealing with this, I stayed polite and said please and thank you a lot. The low tier support people are just reading scripts. They don't know anything. And often there is a language barrier. Take the high road... they appreciate it and will be more likely to want to help escalate.

4. Stay at it. Their support isn't great but the platform overall is excellent and worth a headache here and there.

Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

I'm going through the same issue. Currently talking through them via live chat. Is there a number you have to reach them?

Customer service for Squareup is the absolute worst. It is a bunch of hired people who have NO idea how to actually use the platform and so they also just transfer you from one department to the next.
