Known Issue: Employees Unable to Clock In or Out
The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Employees cannot clock in and out...ERROR"
I have called and reported and Square stated it was a problem on their end. Any idea when this will be resolved and working again?

We've also been having the same issue today.
Full message after clocking in:
"Request Failed. We were unable to process your request. Please try again."
Would also like to be updated on a fix for the error.

I had the same issue, but was somehow able to get through and clock them out manually using the Square Payroll app on my phone.

Sorry to hear you all have been affected by this issue. I looked back in our known issues history and this appears to be related to a ticket that was escalated to our engineers earlier this week.
Taking a look at the status of this issue, it appears our engineers are still investigating and working on a fix at this time. I can keep an eye on this ticket and come back here to let you all know when it has been resolved. For now, we will just have to keep track of the times when employees are clocking in/out outside of Square. Apologies for the inconvenience here😞

Apologies for the delayed response here. I've reached out to our Engineers and they've confirmed that this issue should now be resolved but do please let us know if you're still experiencing any issues with Time Cards at all.

I have three registers and the clock in option is gone on all of them as of this week.
Also is there a way to remove the team feature from the register where all employees and their pay is in full view?

It sounds like this might be a different issue than the above. I would like to clarify that the Time tracking function has been moved to the More section with the latest Square Point of Sale experience. If you still cannot find it there we recommend making sure that your registers are up-to-date. If all is good there then let us know so we can take a deeper look into this.

I have one register and the Square for Retail App and the clock in option is gone from mine as well. We can still log in but no time clock to keep track of hours worked. The app has been updated and nothing
