Team member isn't able to process credit card transaction in POS

I'm using Square POS app to process transactions at a plant sale. I have multiple team members processing transactions.  I've set them up in the POS app with the appropriate permissions but when they try to process a cc transaction it prompts them to create an entity with SSN and bank account.  Somehow their accounts don't seem to be connecting with the entity I set them up in.    We've used Square for years with multiple team members and this hasn't happened before.  They received an invite email when I created their accounts but it took them to Square Team which we are not using and don't need it.  I had them download the correct square app but it's not working.  I've been in the system for several years and I can process the CC transactions.  And the new ones have the same permission as me.  Please help  My sale is less than 2 weeks away and I need to get this fixed.

It sounds like there are a couple of solutions 

 

1 -- You could have all devices logged in on your Square account and process transactions. Unless your team members are their own businesses, you shouldn't need to have different accounts for each of them

2 -- You're probably getting the Square Team prompt because this is the "new" way Square is doing multiple team members. 

 

So, best solution before the sale: go to your dashboard --> team 

From here you can add everyone that you would like to process transactions as well as adjust permissions.

I have added everyone to the dashboard on the website. Square.com abd it’s still not allowing them to process a credit card transaction. Do they also need a Square Team account?  I don’t have one and am able to process a credit card transaction.  Their profiles and permissions are just like mine. 

when I went back to the dashboard to double check everything, it indicated that we need to be subscribed to something for $35.  I believe I said ok cause I need for people to process a transaction.  Is the subscription a new thing or have we been paying that all along. And without that would they not be able to process a transaction?

Your team member should be able to process sales without you needing to subscribe to Team Plus. However, Team Plus is required if your employees have different roles or permission sets in the system. If you are comfortable having all your team members under one permission set (Team Permissions) then you wouldn't need to subscribe to Team Plus. 

 

If your issue persists after having reviewed the permissions for your team I would suggest reaching out to our support team here.

 

They would be able to dig in and find what could be causing this situation on your account.
