Hi @DL6 to change your business name within Square. You will want to visit your square dashboard -> Settings -> Account and Settings -> Business information -> About my Business. On the About My Business screen, you should see 3 lines with your business name at the top of the page. To the right of that line with your business name, there will be an edit button for you to change the name of your business.

Hi @schaefferjosh! I also attempted to update my Business Name after creating my Square account. But I see that it only updated it in certain portions of the web app; other portions of the app are retaining my original Business Name.

 

I wish to open a Square Checking account but it's using my original name to create the debit card instead of the new name.

 

Can you please advise?

What portions are still hanging on to the old name? By default, I will say that you will want to get support for setup issues for anything involving the checking account. It is possible something on the backend is getting hung up with the name change and they may be able to assist.
