How do I reinsert the retainer clip for the Contactless and Chip Reader?

I was able to take the retainer clip out and put the reader into the dock. Now I can’t get the retainer clip to go back in.

Thank you for your reply. The retainer clip won’t go in because the ribbon is curled inside that spot in the dock. Is the clip necessary? Is the dock going to work or should I request a new one?

What is the ribbon from?

The Contactless and Chip Reader along with the Dock do not require the retainer clip to function. It will still work without it!
