Google Pixel Tap to pay option is suddenly gone. Verified NFC is On, Developer Options/Mode is OFF. OS is version 13. Reinstalled Square App multiple times and no luck.
Square notifications say that Tap to pay is available but when I go to checkout it says to connect a device. There is no option under Hardware to select Tap to pay either.
Help please! Thank you!
@sprakkart Did you try restarting your pixel? There are some known issues with pixel's and faulty NFC. Most of the time this is fixed via a phone restart. The other option is to also try your tap to pay at a merchant somewhere to verify it isn't the phone. If the NFC is not working correctly the option won't show up. Most likely this is a pixel issue instead of square.

These steps resolved the same issue on my Samsung Galaxy A16 5G.
I suspect the problem was triggered due to enabling developer options - though I was still using tap-to-pay for about a week after that before it quit. Disabling developer options and rebooting the phone was not sufficient, but when I went through all the steps above it started working again.
Most of these steps seemed to be no-ops (i.e., the settings were already as they should be) except for clearing the app cache / data, so I suspect that's what was needed in my case.
