I am getting really irritated with square with no real help please tell me if anyone else has had this problem and was there anything you did to fix it I’ve contacted my bank and I’ve contacted square multiple times and my bank says there is absolutely nothing wrong with my account where as square is blaming it on the bank bc the reality of it is square isnt getting to the root issue which is why if I’m entering all my account info correct why it literally WILL NOT CONNECT… long story short me and my husband have a joint account which is what my square account was originally connected to I got a separate account for my business and now want my square connected to my new account I tried my checking first they literally put the one cent in to verify the account and it goes no further than that they just leave the one cent in there and never take it out they come back and say it failed but they have no reason as to why so then I try my savings and I kid u not the same thing happens now when I try to set it up it just won’t accept it at all! And says my account info is wrong! HOW I literally copied it all straight from my banking app and y’all put the one cent in so CLEARLY YALL FOUND MY ACCOUNT AND ALL THE INFO WAS CORRECT OR YOU WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PUT THE ONE CENT IN. Be for real square! Is there anyone that had this issue and if so were you able to fix it? If so how???

I am not sure why this is happening but Square needs to in your case send you the $.01 AND be able to remove the $.01. If Square can not remove the test amount, your account fails. The reason this for this is so in the future if you ever have a loan with Square, Square is able to take the money from this account for shortages to the Loan payment. Also Square needs to be able to do this if there are any Charge Backs. Meaning if my card was stolen and the person used my card at your store, I would want my money back since I did not buy from you. In this case Square would withdrawal the money from your account. Now since Square is unable to do this with $.01, your account has failed this step for some reason. You may have given the Account information for Deposits and not for withdrawals. My account has a few different numbers depending if it is a ACH payment or Charge, Electronic Payment or With Drawal, etc. This could be where the issue is. When I first setup my account I with Square, I only had 1 account number for Domestic Deposits and withdrawals.... Now I think I have about 8. Domestic and International also adds to account numbers just to make your account more secure from hackers. It is so safe now that we are no longer able to access our own accounts for setting up a payment processor. You may need to contact Square to see which account number(s) they usually require, then contact your bank for these numbers. I ran into all these account number issues making a Payment to a supplier. I gave up and now just mail them a check right from my banks website.
