Teams and seasonal business

I run a softball concessions stand and I want to have different permissions for the manager vs. cashiers.  I understand that I need to have upgraded access and fee is $35/mo per location.  I only operate from this location May-Oct, so can I turn the upgrade on and off as needed.  Can't find an answer anywhere.

Yes, Square Teams does have a pause feature for your concessions stand. However, it's only good for three months pause at a time. During the pause time, you will not have access to any of the reporting and management features tied to the teams plus.
