Is it possible to enter Time Off Requests as a Manager for my staff? Often we know our staff will be out of town or are otherwise unable to work, but until they actually schedule the time off it's easy to add shifts to their schedule. I'd like to be able to add time off requests as I do shifts, but is there another way to request time off for them in their absence so it blocks off the ability to schedule them?
@Dragon18 My personal advice is to stay completely away from this and require your people to put in their requests through the app. It will change your life. I tell them all requests have to go through the app. So even in their absence they can put it in real quick. Then you have the time stamp, the email, and the request log.
If you do want to do it your way, (not judging, just I went down this exact road), you can just make a job that is "Vacation Party Time, Don't call me Manager" whatever you like, and you can just go to that day and schedule them all day and put in that job title. It will flag an error that the job isn't assigned to them, but you will have it when you do your scheduling to know NOT to schedule them as they are in the bahamas. You can do shift notes and everything, so ultimately you get the same affect, but you don't get the statistics on total days approved off etc.
